One thing I find both fun and adventurous is travelling in such a way that we can see the sights as we go. Driving you cannot exactly do that because you’re driving, and while I can have someone else drive for me, that is not fair to them either.

Via plane is not possible because you simply don’t get to see any scenery from a plane, except various geometrical shapes that you may find on your way down. Biking has a similar problem to driving, because you simply too easily miss out on all there is to see.

So one option I have found is to see an area via rail train tour. That way, as you ride around an area, you can look out the window the entire time and really appreciate what is out there. For part of one of my Canada tour packages I made sure to take a train trip in Canada in order to see everything there was across the country. While I may not have gotten travel from one area to the next as quickly as I could have if I had taken a plane, I got to see more than anyone that would have been on the flight.
