I used to think people with tattoos were crazy. That was before I really knew anybody that had them. Since then, I’ve met quite a few people with the body art and have come to my own conclusion. Tattoos are not a sign of insanity. My best friend has 4, and he’s pretty cool. One looks like a pencil sketch of a woman on his arm and a couple others are cross tattoos. He sometimes says he would consider getting more, but for now he has stuck with the ones he has.

I doubt I’ll ever get a tattoo myself. It’s just not my thing. One thing I’ve learned, though, is that tattoos are an individual choice. The many people I’ve met over the years, even the ones with fairy tattoos, treat it that way, and unlike people involved in other things, don’t try to convert or manipulate anybody into believing anything. That’s the philosophy I live by, so I tend to get along with people that have tattoos. I’ll sometimes joke that I have a full-body tattoo, when in fact I don’t have any, but the humor usually comes across the way it is intended.
